Shop With NTN boots was created by biker
Im considering going ntn this winter and want to try on boots before I commit, specifically the scarpa TX pros and comps, do any of the local shops stock these?

Pro Ski on Aurora had the Garmont Prophets last season -- not sure if they'll expand off that line this year. Marmot in Bellevue had the Tx.

Has anyone toured in NTN? How does it compare to standard cable binders and the newer free-Pivot tele bindings?
I'm intrigued and considering upgrading the whole package this year.

One of the small ski shops in Whistler (not Valhallah Pure) had several pairs of NTN boots from both Scarpa and Garmont last season. That's not really local but it's a good excuse for a jaunt across the border.
I haven't ridden the NTN but have read that it has the zero-friction pivot with less range of motion than a 75mm tour pivot but more than the Marker AT bindings. TelemarkTips and Backcountry have reports on this.

yes, around 40 days. It tours better than my 3-pin hardwires. I have no experience with other free-Pivot bindings, but I'd say the range of motion is good enough, and is not one of the issues I have with NTN. I wish it were lighter, but there are other popular tele bindings with similar weight. A more reliable release function and I'd be an NTN zealot.
I did most of my spring and summer skiing on my 3pin hardwires and it was really weird after so much time on NTN. Took a few turns to get my confidence back. NTN has so much power and so little slop. Anyway, I'm mostly an NTNer now and can't wait for first snow.
I purchased my TXs from backcountry.com sight unseen. Size 27 just like my T1s and T3s. Most comfortable ski boot I've ever owned. Trying on boots is overrated.
