Vintage ski gear -- free and LOTS of it. was created by hyak.net
The old Hyak rental shop will be bulldozed next week and inside are thousands of ski's, boots, poles, boot trees, and related items. All will be dozed with the building so if you want some old ski gear to hang on the wall, or for kids or whatever (dates from around 1976 - 1988) there is no short supply. There are some cool K2 Heidelberg rental ski's that I think make cool wall hangers. They are in the Heidelberg colors with the logo's in the middle and bottom. There are lots of new items in with all this as well, though it is dated at least 20+ yrs. I scored a case of ski wax! I was given the ok to rummage for items from the ski shop owner, so it is ok. (fwiw).

Looks like those might be Barrecrafter aluminum poles in that heap? State of the art 40 years ago & the only ones I've found that can withstand my all too frequent 'turns in the vertical plane'.
Thanks to Robie's relentless Goodwill scrounging, I have several sets. I switched after wrecking three different brands of adjustable poles in three years and have been really pleased with 'em!

Perfect! Those will match the Heidelberg hat that went missing on the PG.

I'm starting to perceive your vision .Hiedelburg hat and skis, lederhosen and suspenders with edelweiss embroidery. Maybe a feather in the cap eh?

Cracks me up...
We literally crawled through that building last week.
There was gear stuffed into every corner of the building.
All sorts of cool vintage stuff, some unexpected.
Like Marker Rotomat touring conversion heel yokes.
Also some extra burly boot specific riveting tools.
Lots of Besser bindings, and old Kaber, Koflack and Dynafit rental boots.
Piles and piles of rental skis...
It'll be a shame to see all this stuff go into land fill.
Come on up and grab a piece of history.
