Requesting Diamond Peak Beta and Stoke:
...The place is so huge...how do you know what to ski...????
We'll be coming in from Corrigan Lake TH.
2-Full days of skiing.
Looking for the "must-ski" lines/routes.
Thanks for the beta and photos and Stoke!

I've only been there on a day trip and skied in and out via the approach directly west of the true summit, which was very nice but short given the hike in. I remember thinking that it would be great to have more time there, and if you had good conditions, you could make a neat set of runs around the main peak following the sun, skiing the south or east aspects in the morning and the north or west bowls in the afternoon. I'm not sure about the linked peaks further north - it looks like there are several more possibilities there.

There's plenty to keep you busy. Gotta hit the main bowl off the summit, and there's some stuff on the east side as well. PM Buck from this forum. He's spent considerable time in there and should be able to give you some recent beta.

We found great access and could skin from the lake to the top. Camped at 6700' below the ridge in open hemlocks. Got views from the ridge into the the big cirque. Woke to frozen Ice pellets and an 1/4" of butter on the warmed unconsolidated snow.
Went to the base of the West summit and could not see the top. The big bowl was totally fogged in.
We folded it up early and were in the Brewers Union in time for a late lunch Ruben after hitting the hotsprings on the way. Drove the 19road up to Cougar for a second dip then drove the 15rd from the Mck up to Tombstone. 111miles of North bound forest road on Fathers day...Priceless. Diamond Pk to Corvallis...no interstate!
