Wildsnow DENALI BLOG. was created by Scotsman
I'm really enjoying Lou Dawson's Wildsnow Denali blog.
See here
www.wildsnow.com/3269/denali-ridge/
Based upon the technology being used ( 11 lbs I think he said in a previous post)I think Kyle Millar needs to get some so he and the Hummels can keep us in the loop on their latest adventures and not have to wait until they get back.
We cubicle monkeys demand more" live" stoke!

I've been following this -- it's great. It always amazes me how much foreshortening you get in the photos of these monster-big mountains. Hard to believe his base camp at 14,2 is still 6k below the summit.

I've been there and the 14k camp is one of the funnest places on earth. Incredible views and you are surrounded by different groups from all over the world. Above you is this looming monster that is the upper slopes of Denali.
During my stay, there was a Brazilian Fireman's team who spent the entire time wooing two female climbers( to absolutely no effect ) and a Japanese team who we challenged to a decorative snow wall contenst (we won actually). Sitting on the Park Service toilet in the morning as everybody walked past was also highly entertaining as was the communual pee hole marked by wands.

See latest Wildsnow Blog.
Colin Haley and his partner were two days unaccounted for after being seen summiting Foraker.
Lou Dawson reports that they just stumbled into camp alive and ( relatively )well after fighting through a storm.
Given recent news, I am very appreciative that they are OK.
