Rainier patriarch Sundstrom, 93, dies

About 15 years ago... my first little hike up Rainier, I didn't know my way around.  I stopped to ask this guy for directions.  Well, it was Mr. Sundstrom.  He was so gracious and helpful.  Very old country in his knit gloves.  Of, course I have run into Bronka a few times.   What great people to have on the mountain!

I never met Mr. Sundstrom, but I have met Bronka twice, an inspirational woman. May we all be so blessed to stay active and healthy into our old age.
