White River Road/Campground was created by Boot
Why hasn't this opened yet? I'm quite happy that they opened Cayuse Pass early, but doubt there is much snow at the campground still. Seems like they could have easily cleared a few trees and a little snow by now. Anybody know or is it the same Park crap: "it is what it is"!

Not sure what the Scooby Doo is going on!
The road usually opens when when Chinook opens though, maybe in a couple weeks?
They have not posted any potential opening dates on the MRNP website.

According to a March press release, it's scheduled to open as far as the campground May 21:

I biked to the campground Saturday to recon of the Emmons/Winthrop route approach. While the skin out to Glacier Basin was less than ideal (10 carry's one way over streams, barespots), the bike was enjoyable with a couple minor blowdowns and still plenty of snow at the campground (parkling lot remains unplowed).
