google topo gone?

I went to look up an incorrectly spelled mcalester peak on google topo on google maps and I can't seem to find it. Goole topo that is. The spot I used to click instead took me to a really cool 3-d earth imagry thing... kinda fun to fly around and get differant views. and it is really detailed in some pretty remote places.

Google Topo is still available.

1. Click the button titled "More".
2. Choose "Terrain" from the listed options.

While I <3 the google 'terrain' view, it is sometimes nice to see the good old-fashioned USGS maps. Fortunately these are still available on the web (e.g. at mapper.acme.com/ which has tabs for both 'terrain' and 'topo').
