Slides on Shuksan Arm was created by brownc9
My buddy took some really cool pictures of slides beginning and in the process of moving last friday from Baker's boundary, looking out. I thought it relevant to cross post his blog.
Garrett Grove
Let me know what you think... Pretty good examples of a day to observe, then stick to lower angle stuff, or to keep bumping the lift. Great pictures to put in an avalanche book if you ask me!

Humbling is right!
Was anyone buried? Did the patrol do any control work or close the Arm?

Garrett said that he didn't hear of any burials where anyone was hurt. And no, I don't believe that they closed access to the backcountry.

Spectacular photos. The Arm was absolutely stable just 5 days before - all the lines in your photos were skied many times without any movement. Nobody jumped the Rumble gully cornice, however. Amazing what a difference new weather and a few days makes. Thanks for posting these.

Super pictures, they should be used in a Avy awareness course.
I know that feeling of no way out. @#%&#!! Left and right and below are all in motion.
Thanks for the refresher in humility.
I'll never forget...Many moons ago I was out in that location in the Spring preparing to drop in and the whole thing flushed on a 2ft crown all the way down Rumble. Pretty freaked out after that event, I knock-kneed my way out of there.
