This (along with a phone photo from my kid up at Alpental this morning) greeted me after a meeting at work this morning.

So, I'm thinking you can ride the lift over the hill, slap on the skins and beat feet to the Hyak Backcountry now. How am I gonna choose, Alpental or Hyak?

Well, sad to see the passing of quiet, laid back touring days at Hyak.... seems crazy to me to build a new lift for only four new runs ???

4 runs? You need to get out and look around a bit.

Score! Go Pac-West!
Now the limited pass makes sense again, since I can enjoy some weekend hours at Hyak.

There are certainly plenty more runs back there, but only four official ones on the map! ;)
