Heading down to Mt Hood for 3 days this weekend with family. We are planning to climb, but if the weather doesn’t work out, we are interested alternative ski tours. We are all decent skiers, but probably would prefer a long tour over numerous short laps.
Thanks for any ideas.

Tilly Jane/Cooper Spur is a reliable option on the NE side of Mt. Hood when there is enough mid-elevation snow to cover the trail. I was up there a few weeks ago and it was pretty thin on the lower part, but with recent low snow levels it might be looking better. It's trail -> tree glades -> to open alpine terrain (often windswept) with moderate slopes. It's possible to make a single trip for around 4,000+ feet of vertical from the trailhead to the spur.

Thanks DG.
I was looking at that one the map and get a sense from some TRs. It is nice to know the terrain zones from someone that's been there.
