Partners wanted is gender biased

An observation:
A "partner's wanted "post by a poster with female name gets 983 hits.
A "partner wanted "by male poster gets only 50-200 hits on average.

Conclusion:
Male TAY'ers want female partners to tour with or meet women tourers.

Question:
Why?

This may be a logically intuitive way to interpet the data, however-
No male/female statements can be drawn from these numbers as we do not know the gender of the repliers!
could be 982 of those hits were from women which would lead to a dramatically different conclusion!
