Robie I respectfully and civilly disagree with you. TGR is a wonderful website, dynamic and full of free thinkers who love the mountains just as much as you and all the TAYers. It has kind, wonderful, intelligent people on it and some of the stories are as uplifting and more so than anything you will find on TAY. It is global and there are people from all over the world communicating about their love of snow and glisse There are fascinating, clever, political debates. The site has become the gold standard in finding out about technical details.
Now there are idiots, racists, haters, hypocrites and fools on the site as well unlike TAY that only seems to be inhabited by saints. :

Robie I just realized your post was about Whistler not TGR, my apology.
However, I still respectfully and civily think you are wrong.

The Whistler problem has more to due with the hedge funders than Whistler itself.
If Charles had run Whistler as you suggest I'm sure it would be a wonderful place as you say but very different.
Probably wouldn't be any lifts... or jobs. HAHHAAH but it would be a wonderful place for a few local tourers.
