Those are truly old-school ski's.

I have a pair of Bob's skis. Fun, stiff, good for pretty specific conditions, but definitely cool things to have strapped to your feet.

I have Lunar Landers. When I bought them they were $165 shipped. Mine also have an inlaid walnut(?) strip down each side of the ski's top which apparently he doesn't do anymore. When I called him to order he happened to have a pair with metal instead of poly edges so I opted for those.

These are really cool skis, but - as you might imagine being solid wood - are EXTREMELY stiff. I'm 6'3", 190 and I have a hard time bending them when on them. That said, I tend to get them out a day or two each season in the springtime when I don't need the ski to deflect much. These are the ultimate mankbusting tool.

I've known of several people more aggro than I who have broken them. Like I say, they're good fun but for me not a daily driver. Good for meeting people on the chair though!
