Another nice loop is the tour up toward Balu, then wrap up right to Bruins Pass and make the loop back into the Balu drainage. Lots of great stuff up there.

uh, yeah.....so what the hells the matter with suggesting Youngs Pk? 

Youngs is a tedious meandering traverse over a boring Neve with exposed slots. The highlight is the Seven Steps and if conditions are dicey and the Seven Steps unskiable, then another meandering traverse down towards Asulkan. Then a 8km skate ski out.

Other then that, I suppose its a fine tour if you're into that sort of thing

That's not how it was described to me by Pete and his partners after they did it. Different strokes, I guess.

After a 9 hour drive it's a good tour to stretch the legs out.

Don't swallow the industry nonsense about how "it's all about the down." They just want to sell you stuff. It's about being out in the mountains. I haven't done the Youngs Peak tour, but it sounds wonderful.
