Found this part (for a snowshoe?) on Friday, 12/11 on the approach to Lundin Couloir. This was lying on the snow in the gulley below the couloir.

That is a snowboard boot crampon. Red is one of Burtons side brands. There were some knuckledraggers up there last week, posted in TR's I think, could be theirs.

that sorry arse excuse of a crampon would belong to this "knuckledragger".  i really appreciate you bringing that back!  i was hoping to use the loss of it as an excuse to buy some real ones.  but since you found it i might as well hook up with you to retrieve it.  lemme know what works for you..... and thanks again.

@hyakbc-- knuckledragger?  what gives?  you must be referring to my ultra smooth steez when i lay out a huge turn and drag my knuckles thru the pow.  yeah, that must be it.

Don't be butt hurt, I'm a knuckledragger too. Lifetime member. I'm trying to reclaim that hurtful word just as the gays have done with the word f****t and the brothers have done with the N word. Fightin words if it comes from a skier.

@hyak-- i figured as much. my initial response was much different and more personal, but i think my skin has grown tougher from the wind and sun burn over the years. and a little reflection pre-post always helps too. hence the humor in my response. cuz i love laying out a turn and dragging some knux in the pow.

i had to respond though to see where you were coming from. hoping that it wasn't from the crystal mt resort / alpental bc traverse mentality.

was that you over on red the day we were up at "lundeen"?

ciao,
mc
