we got a system last wk. that snowed 10 " on the West Slopes, and 2 - 4 " on the east Slopes. This wk's sytem snowed 16 " on the West Slopes, and 10 " on the East Slopes, but this system didnt make it to the Southern Sierra.
The temps have been cold enough to allow for snowmaking at the resorts. Mammoth has a half dozen lifts spinnin - so they'll be open for the holiday. Tahoe resorts should have partial openings, as well.
