I just got a pair of Alpine Trekkers today and to my dismay they don't compress the plate under the boot sole to lift the ski brakes. Check out the picture, if you look at the heal piece it sits right before the plate that compresses to lift the brakes. Anyone else have this problem/ have any ideas or know how to adjust this. I've taken a picture of the issue. let me know if you have any words of wisdom,
Thanks,
Ben

Find a piece of wood, metal, plastic, etc. that will fit in the gap and push down on the brake. File a groove in it so it sits nicely on the trekker, and then use a hose clamp to attach it to the trekker. It might look funny, but it will be cheap and should do the trick.

Can you slide the brake backward on your alpine binding?

You could take a bulky rubber band to keep the brake up (like you do when tuning skis) and take it off when you take the Trekkers off. Easy and cheap.

Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna try and find a block of nylon to cut up, if that doesn't work i guess I'll just use leashes this weekend!
Pray for snow,

It looks to me from the photo that the brake lever is too far forward to receive the Trekker properly. If you can not shift the break to the rear as Marcus suggests, perhaps just a hose clamp on the beam with the screw housing oriented downward would be enough to depress the brake actuator.
