Colorado Backcountry Skiing Forum? was created by Erik Henne
I will be spending the week of Thanksgiving in Colorado with family and want to get some skiing in. Could someone recommend some good backcountry skiing trip report forums I could look through for ideas and conditions?

Where at? I'll be in CO over Thanksgiving too, and I'd bring my bc setup if I knew there might be a chance of meeting up with someone. I know they've got a good start, but they need a bit more before I'd feel like there's some coverage...

I like to check the NRCS Snotel sites. Here's the page for Colorado
www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snotel/Colorado/colorado.html
[edited to add] Here's the clickable Western States map which also has links to other interesting snow 'products'. www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snow/ . Besides clicking on the map for individual States, if you take the link to snow depth products, you'll see a GIS Map link that after another button or two, gives you a graphical display of snow depths around the west - another button will give you user defineable timeline changes to the snowpack.
Another one which is kind of fun is this ftp://ftp.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/data/snow/update/west/ski_west.txt . It is a tabular compilation, state by state, of the Snotel data for each such site that lies in the same basin as the listed ski resort. Updated daily, I believe..
