nothin new with it opening top to bottom. for those of you NW 'ers not familiar, it has the elevation of Hood & sits in a pass so it gets mega precip. NWS, Reno reported 6 inches of h20 from the soaker. It is the 2nd earliest opening since 10-8-'94. The surroundings peaks are 12 - 13,000. I might be able to do a TAY if next sept. has some leftover (Shasta)
