How low is the snow on Baker's southern slopes?

I had hoped to get my wife up to Park Butte this fall, but I am wondering if the early snowfall last week might be covering the fall colours and making hiking difficult...snow has that ability to be good and bad. Has anyone been up to Schreibers Meadow recently?
