Okay so maybe we will settle for a small patch. Lisa, Andrew, Paul and I are looking for September turns Saturday. Anything other than Muir?

Today from Gary Vogt
"DD(Dorothea Driggers  & I went for a short XC hike today to 'Lovely Basin', at the base of Plummer-Denman chutes.  Sunny seventy up there; foggy fifty here.  Muir icefield looked grim, barely extending below Moon Rocks.  Upper Paradise Glacier is gone: Anvil Rock is a moonscape like Cowlitz Rock.  The buildings at Camp Muir a a couple hundred feet above the last snow.  Fuhrer Finger is a muddy rivulet thru the scree.  The 'Turtle' snowfield is completly gone - long steep scree pile.  There's still a 3-turn patch in the chute below Pinnacle trail, tho..."
Somewhere here on Tay(Road access ) road to Heliotrope is open.
Might be some skiing up there. Locals might chip in ?
That's all I know.
