I left the skis at home and went hiking for several days between Mount Baker and Shuksan. It had only been three weeks since I had skied there, but snowfields had shrunk considerably and the permanent mountain glaciers looked much more dirty and icy. I would suggest that you plan your September turns as early as possible; I will try for September first.
1st photo- a closeup of the Sholes Glacier from Skyline Ridge

2nd photo- Ptarmigan Ridge from the top of Table Mountain

3rd photo- A snowfield that we skied 3 weeks from Table Mt.(Still a fairly large snowfield in the Bagley basin, but not much vertical :'()

Hey Bob---I may be interested, even though we are in Hong Kong until the 29th and my school starts the 2nd.
If the 1st isn't a paid day I'll let you know.

Let me know your plans,Mack. I am open to other partners, too. I recently posted a photographic comparison study of the Table Mountain area: hiking vs skiing elsewhere telemarktalk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=59723
