I plan to be there with wife and son; I may bring skis and try to make a few turns, but not planning to get wet.
I've got two sets of kids ski boots, and honestly I may end up buying the kid a new pair of skis this year too, not sure yet. Not planning to lug all that up the mountain, but if you're interested, let me know. What sizes are you looking for?

Count me in, plus two!
(PS-Anyone have any used kid's gear they might want to hawk at the event....)

I wish I could make it. The 16th is my seventh wedding anniversary. When I proposed pond skimming to my bride she didn't look thrilled. :
Probably not a good tactical move for me anyway as I am working to acquire domestic capital to spend this upcoming season.
Have fun and smile for the cameras. I'll look forward to the recap.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JOE! Any marriage that can survive your grueling ski schedule must be made in heaven. Good luck with the credits. Maybe she should never read your trip reports... just saying.

How smart of you to marry mid summer without interference of the "real" ski season, now that's thinking ahead...
Congrats, Joe! And even bigger congrats to Mrs. for putting up with you!

It looks like the weather forecast is holding for Sunday, so far...
For those that are considering attending the the Slush Cup for the first time, Jerry put up a thread a couple of year ago with a GREAT MAP AND SOME WORDS OF WISDOM FOR NEWCOMERS which may we well worth reading.
Each year new folks usually ask "what time?"
IF the forecast holds and we have sunny weather, here is what the timing is likely to look like:
The early birds start showing up at the Reflection Lakes parking area some time after 9:00 AM and keep coming for two or three more hours. Then the attendees probably start thinning out at the pond around 2:00 PM with the last of the hold-outs leaving the pond by say 4:00. The tailgate parties start rolling at Reflection Lakes around 3:00 or 4:00 PM (mostly with snacks and cold beverages, maybe a BBQ or two in the mix -- lots of sharing and visiting) with the parking lot being pretty much cleared out by around 6:00.
Now you know just about everything that I know
