Diamond Pk snow conditions? was created by joew
Planning a family visit 7/25-8/3 up north and thought we'd try a ski of Diamond Pk on our way. Any one out there know if there is still skiable snow there? Recommendations for best access if so? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Try posting your question in the Random Tracks section. I can see that you are new to TAY, but this section is for posting trip reports.

Brenda and I were down around the Mt Thielsen area over the July 4th weekend and it was pretty bad. The boniest conditions we've seen on that date in the last several years. It looked better up towards Diamond Pk but that was 3 weeks ago.

Thanks md2020. What's the weather been like up there these past weeks?

The weather has been warm and dry.
Access for Diamond Peak is typically on the south west side (Corrigan Lake TH).
I haven't been down that way for a while, but I would guess that you could find some snow on the north side. It would be a long slog to get there. Here's a TR from a month ago on TGR
