Skiing in Europe was created by bcglaxer
Hi All.

I'm thinking of giving myself a graduation present and taking a trip to Europe for some skiing this winter. I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations. Lift-assisted, touring... I don't care. Alps? Scandanavia? Everything is on the table at this moment. Where have you gone? Where did you like? Dislike? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Chamonix, France and if you buy my ticket I'd be happy to show you around. ;D
Incredible piste and off-piste and access to much touring- Haute route etc.

Is this where I butt in and tout my genuine French quality, Monsieur SCOTSman? Ideally you'd want both of us, of course, for a truly European experience. Our extensive knowledge of the American ways and culture will be priceless to you for sure.

There is Chamonix of course, and then in France if you want to mix a variety of places and still real mountaineering, you can look into staying in Briançon and hitting Serre-Chevalier, la Grave la Meije, les Deux Alpes, l'Alpe d'Huez, etc. etc.
