K2 or Head for NWP was created by wooley12
I'm live in the NorthEast. BC skiing is a new thing with me. Plan on doing a lot of trips in the NWP. Ready to buy a ski to go with the Dynafit's I just got. I do not intend to ski anywhere that requires rappell. And if I have to use crampons or a sleeping bag (I'll have them) I've made a weather or route error. Looking for your collective advice for an all condition Jeep. What is your opinion of the K2 Mt Baker vs the Head Monster iM 95 O.B. ??

PNW? Pacific Northwest? You're coming to the right place...
If you want a lightweight BC ski, I'd consider trying to track down the Mt Baker Superlight. As you might guess, quite a bit lighter than the Mt Bakers and certainly lighter than the Monsters. Without knowing anything about what kind of ski you like, that's my recommendation

PNW WNP...DOH!!Google let me down. :-[ Baker Lights are not an option. Want to compare the air core Head Monster BC at 7 lbs with the wood/metal topped Mt Bakers at 8 lbs so specs say.

Impressive specs for the Monster (and nice price also), although personally I'd still prefer the far lighter Dynafit Manaslu, or the almost as light and almost as wide K2 Mt Baker Superlight.
