summer tour spots? was created by MattT
I was planning to head up to Muir soon but I have heard reports that the skiing is sub-par. Can anyone recommend a better place that I might find an easy trip to get some turns in? thanks so much!

Go to Muir, bring a nice lunch, and shed no more tears.

The Tatoosh has great shorties that are still in; also try Mowich Lake, road opening evening of 7/16. Go farther afield and get good stuff accessible from Artist Point. Look quite a bit higher and longer, and there are good lines from Lassen to BC.

As always, a great option is to look through trip reports from the same time period in prior years. Each year is a bit different, but not really that different.
