Heading to Adams tomorrow evening to ski on Thursday. Just wondering if anyone that was there over the weekend got an eyeball on the chutes below the avalanche headwall, next to the SW Chutes. I know they melt out early and the best view is often from FS road 23, which I believe is not open. Settling for the SW chutes is not a bad option, but I sure would like to do the other if I could ever get there early enough in the season. Thanks for any beta.

I assume you are talking about the White Salmon/Avalanche Glacier route, which we skied on Sat. It's in great shape. Enjoy.

According to:  www.highwayshopper.com/WPSX04.html   (6-18 report)
"(Road) #23 open at least to 2329 Jct." and "#2329 (High lakes) open to Takhlak CG and to 1 mile short of Kellen Ck TH"
