Found a free pair of Karhu XCD Supremes

Any suggestions on how to best use these precious artifacts of a bygone era? Mount w/ tele bindings for that old-school feel (when tele turns were difficult!)? Put on my old Ramer Classics, for a touring set-up? Mount them on the garage wall?

Lace up leather boots and either the V1 Rainey Super Loops (with the rubber bungie instead of a spring) or maybe Voile 3-pin cables. And get tips from Charles on good rolly-polly tours.

If you want skins for them, we may still have a set that fits laying about the house (I had the ultimates and my wife had the supremes; I kind of wish we'd hung on to them as they would indeed be useful for a certain kind of tour...) - PM me if interested and I'll give a look-see.

Thanks for the reply, Jim. And big thanks for the offer of skins...I've got an old pair that will fit. I think I will mount them up with three pins, although I do have some old Raineys I could mount.

Any idea what years these were produced? Also, you mention a "certain kind of tour". What would they be best used for? I can imagine what I might use them for, but curious to see what others would do.
