FYI. Yesterday I hiked up to the top of Hyak and found the ski area had cut a large path down the backside of Hidden Valley through the trees in preparation for the riblet double chair to be installed. I was very surprised to see this, and it appeared the surveying had also been done for the tower locations. It was very difficult to walk through the area because of all the down trees.

Funny how familiar that run looks now even after how many years of the back side chair being gone?

Sucks that they cut a bunch of trees on that area. Seemed to be plenty of open areas from the traverse down to the dinosaur counterweight in the last couple years.
