Has anyone skied the SW couloir on SEWS? Any info or advice? We might be up there this weekend and it seems worthy.

It's pretty darn narrow, but don't let that stop you if you're up for it. I don't know if anybody has skied it.

I've heard of it being climbed before, but don't not skied. I'm guessing it might be getting a bit late for it, but I haven't been up there for a while. I think I googled it once and there were some good shots of some guys climbing up the coulior which gave some good pics for snow conditions...here's a link to a climb done in Dec. 2005

The guys I skied with this weekend said they had done it before. They're good strong telemarkers but not daredevils. We looked down it but opted for Madison Ave instead.

You must be thinking of a different couloir, perhaps the one that descends from Wamihaspi Peak to Blue Lake. To look down the SW Couloir of South Early Winter Spire, you would need to be standing on the summit of the spire.
I was in the Liberty Bell area this weekend too. The SW Couloir of SEWS was melted out in several places.

I've seen tracks in it -- in a good snow year.
