For Adams- the road was snowed in about 5 miles from the trailhead. This makes for a relatively long two day trip to the summit, but totally worth it. The skiing was awesome. Skinning on the road is pretty easy, it's not very steep. Also, after about a half mile there were no more large dirt patches that require ski removal, so you don't have to do the skis on/off/on routine. After about 20 mins we were able to skin the whole way. At least this was the case a few days ago. I wouldn't let the distance discourage you if you're in decent shape and have time to go in and camp.

Pollen Allert.
The pollen has arrived in the Central Oregon Cascades. If you are counting on a long glide out, you might consider bringing some goop/off type stuff to get the 'pine tar' off your bases.
