So I'm in Germany for a summer school that gets out July 4. After drinking for US independence day, I'm planning to down to the Alps for skiing/ hiking, though skiing is preferred. Any knowledge on areas to go websites to check out etc...? Right now I have a few ideas, but nothing solid, especially as I don't know if they will have snow at various places.

I'll be there for 1+ weeks. Not too much time, but my boss doesn't want me spending too much time away from the office: he's always afraid I'll become a mountain bum and never come back.
Thanks in advance,-id

He has experimental evidence to support that kind of reasoning. The pull of gravity is sufficient, but it is not all there is to life.

A search and post to TGR and telemarktips might yield interesting European suggestions. Careful checking skis on transatlantic flights. Dave K. had a curious experience with theoretically free Lufthansa.

it was a good winter but also a warm spring. You should find snow in Stubaital south of Innsbruck. This is a glacier ski resort. Check lwz-salzburg.org for current trip reports.
