Whistler Ski-Mountaineering race canceled

Sadly the Spearhead Passage ski mountaineering race has been canceled. This race started at the Roundhouse on Whistler, went out the musical bumps to Singing Pass, up Cowboy Ridge and then up to the summit of Whirlwind and back over the saddle. 
I "raced" the first two years, and it was a super fun, swag filled event that was well run. I put the quotes around "raced" due to my pace and motivation to win. Had a blast, hopefully they can pull it together in 2010, as it was a great time. Spring just won't be the same without it.

That's to bad, they need to add a half pipe, big air or a mogul component to make this more popular with the sponsors.
