I'd love to see more CA trip reports. We skied the Eastern Sierra's last spring and I recommend the experience for everyone.

Is information on backcountry skiing in California relevant to TAY??

I have to agree with the consensus that the answer to this question is definitely 'yes', and I also enjoy reading TRs from California. I grew up backpacking in the Sierra but didn't ski back then.

So I ask again, would adding a CA section to TAY hurt the site or improve it??

I'm not sure what is being asked here. There are not separate sections for TRs, which get mixed together by month regardless of their location.

If you are referring to CA sections for weather links and access links, I'm not sure I'm up for that. I never imagined how much time it would take to maintain all of those links (altogether there are hundreds of them). Some of them change every year, and some more often than that. In addition, when links change it is often the case that no forwarding URL is provided (US gov't seems to be the worst offender), which means I have to hunt down the new URL or delete the link from the navigation menu.

I love seeing TRs from everywhere - there have always been plenty of Shasta, Lassen, Sierra, etc. reports in the usual chronological list of posts. I'm not sure there's a need for a separate section, just post 'em up! :).

Dont forget those great NZ and Arg TR's from Kam and Cass....

Yes, keep them coming.  We toured near Bishop last year based on information gathered from a TAY post.  Ran into some TAY'ers there as well.
