Skiing South America - August/September?

On the day me and my buddy PNWBrit pull the trigger for tickets to Bariloche in August we could have got cheap digs in Portillo if we went in drag!

Ah well, Moi and Rob planning on being in Barlioche August 22- 29th if anybody wants to hook up for some lift slutting and touring.

Glad to hear you took the plunge. How long you and Anastasia going to be in Bariloche?
Rob knows it quite well having been there numerous times and we're hoping to get some touring in , especially up to Refugio Fey which is a place I've always wanted to visit.

My bud Ash is a sick snowboarder and will be in Chile in August. Not much into touring though...but if you want a PNW connection down there...

Nice Chris -- we'll be there from the 22nd to the 29th as well, then moving on to Santiago for a week. We're actually doing a three day trip up to Refugio Frey and Jakob with a local guide -- perhaps we'll be up there around the same time. Either way, let's hook up for turns during the week.

The view of Frey is from Catedral lift accessed side county. Similar time/distance as the King is from 6 at Xtal, maybe even a little less?. Imagine The refuge being in Xtal Lake Basin.
