Canadian Avalanche Center Survey was created by Jupiter
I thought this survey would be of interest to the TAY community.
The Canadian Avalanche Center in conjunction with Simon Fraser University is surveying the backcountry community in order to study avalanche awareness and out-of-bounds skiing and snowboarding, with the goal to develop better avalanche awareness material for this specific user group.

And, there are prizes if you participate!

I got about 40 percent throught the survey, but realized I had trouble with the definition of "out of bounds" skiing (seemingly the primary focus of the study).
I do a lot of skiing using the lifts and going beyond control gates, but I don't consider these slopes "uncontrolled." Someone took the available information into account, usually including personal inspection, weather forecast, snowpack analysis, etc. before deciding to open said gates.
I do a lot of skiing using skins and legs to ascend where no one has really seen the slope in question recently. These slopes I consider "uncontrolled."
I do virtually no skiing using mostly lifts on "uncontrolled" slopes . . .

Yea GregL I had the same issue at first but then realized that on Saturday I rode the lifts at Crystal and went out beyond Silver Basin towards Sourdough Gap and towards Chinook Pass, then climbed back to the ridge above Gunbarrel, skied down to Quicksilver and skied out through the resort, so I then realized that it WAS applicable to me.
