Thanks - that's what I meant, I just didn't write it clearly.

The Spark bindings actually have their own baseplate integrated into the binding which slides over the Voile pucks, eliminating the Voile plates completely and saving significant weight.

Splitboard.com is pretty good. But they don't cover the plate system I have. I don't have a slider plate and pin. What I have is a ring that splits across the midline under each foot's riding position. A lever on the plate opens the plate up so it can fit over the ring, then clamp under it, allowing rotation for the desired riding stance before clamping down tight. Kind of like an oil filter wrench. To go on the touring backet, the lever also opens the base up so two pins spread wide enough to go into the touring bracket, then clamp down on it when the lever is flipped the other way. Is this a new Burton system? Are there any reviews on this system, any opinions on how it will hold up?
I guess if I need to more my feet positions back for deep powder, I can more these rings back to the next mounting hole although I'll have to carry an allen wrench tool of some kind as well as my ratcheting screw driver.
The tip clips are so tight I haven't gotten them open yet. Will I also have to carry a rubber mallet to deal with these. Are there tricks or tools that help with these tip clips?

It sounds as if you have the old Burton interface on your splitboard. Is the splitboard "new" or just "new to you?" In the VHS/BETA war on splitboard interfaces - the Voile Interface became the standard and Burton stopped producing their own 04/05?? Lots of information on splitboard.com - just search Burton Interface in the topic.

Good luck and happy splitting!

New, but it could have been on the shelf for a while.
Waiting for a authorization on the splitboard.com board and I'm be able to search there.
No, wait, I can search that forum even while I wait for my login to be approved.
I'm getting the picture that the old Burton Interface was dropped and Burton went to Voille in 04/05. Had icing problems. Another dead end for me like my beloved Clicker bindings?

Yes, unfortunately you have obsolete technology. But, if you can get past the icing issues and higher fiddle factor of the old burton system they might serve you well for a few years. I have a friend who has managed to keep his working for many years now. It's become a stubborn challenge for him to make the thing work. Bless his heart.
