As you may have heard already, the Friends of NWAC is ramping up for the inaugural Snowball Dinner and Auction, an end-of-season celebration to support NWAC.  We hope you will join us on Fri, April 10 for some good food, great auction items, shared stories and maybe a prayer for more snow in 2010!  NWAC is facing a potential budget shortfall of over $100,000 next year.  Please come out and show your support...it is more important now than ever.   More info and tickets here .

Seems like a given that we should all be supporting this cause. If you're enjoying the bc and using the forecasts or mountain weather reports then you should be supporting the Center that provides all of these services.
Thanks to the Friends for putting this on.

For the cost of a lift ticket you get to eat, drink, and howdy it up with all the same folks that set your uptrack or snaked your line... what could be more fun?

NWAC lives year to year on some pretty meager gubmint funding, and it is events like this, Vertfest, SnowBash, and individual donations that keep the avy reports coming, and help keep all of us riding on top of the snow instead of getting buried under the snow.   Come on folks; join myself and a bunch of other funlovin' powderpigs at Snowball, bid on some off-the-wall items, and help feed the passion that get's you up out of the bed at 4:30am to get first tracks at yor favorite backcountry powderstash (you know the one...)
