Over night(s) parking at Snoqualmie Pass was created by climberdave
Is there any place to just leave your car for a few days at Snoqualmie or Alpy?  We're thinking about ski/camping around Snow Lake and need to leave the car in a safe? place.  I know you can camp in the lot(2?) at Alpy, but not sure about abandoning the rig completely.

Thanks in advance,

I believe the main alpy lot is USFS. You should be able leave a vehicle here with a NW forest Pass permit. Call North Bend RS to make sure. Don't leave anything of value in the vehicle though.

Lot 3 is the only official overnight parking at Alpental. I don't think there is anyplace safe for multi-day parking around the pass unless you know someone with a garage.

The main lot is owned by the ski area. Don't leave anything in your car if you plan on parking for a couple days.

So are we talking guaranteed break-ins or just potential from leaving a car in an empty lot?  As a reforming rock climber from the South I know of places that you do not park you car overnight and some were you do not park at all.  I'm fine leaving my rig places, but really can't afford some punks taking a bat to it.

Anyone know anyone with spare driveway space up there?  Wait I know someone who knows someone with hopefully spare space.

whoop whoop,  :D

The Alpental lots may be on forest service land, but they are leased by the ski area and the NWFS pass is only good outside of the ski season. If it happens to be snowing and they need to clear the lot your car may be in trouble of being towed. Lot 3 is the only overnight lot up there and requires a fee I believe.

Another idea would be to drop your supplies in the Alpental lot and leave your car in the Hyak parking lot and take the Shuttle back to Alpental. Since the Hyak area is not operating for alpine the rest of the year they don't have a pressing need for the space. Also, with the homes around the parking area at Hyak there is less chance for break-ins. People leave their vehicles at the Hyak lot overnight all the time (usually guests of residents).
