OK this is probably too frivolous to post - but I thought Scotsman and Haggis would appreciate the notice...
From the Seattle Times, today:
Confused but happy: Combine Scotland's Robert Burns holiday and Chinese New Year and what do you get? Gung Haggis Fat Choy, an ethnically diverse celebration this Sunday in Seattle's Chinatown-International District that includes the Chinese Youth Orchestra, a Scottish pipe band, a haggis ceremony and a Chinese feast.
No shirt, no skis, no service.

It will taste amazing drowned in your choice of 15yr old malt whisky.
Incidently the only place I can find to buy "real" haggis is Granville market. Seems the USDA doesn't like the blood and guts...

Wouldn't salmon and rice be a better Sino-Scots dish?

My mother once smuggled a real haggis through Miami customs for me. She was a white haired lady dressed in tweed and her travelling hat and figured that they wouldn't suspect her.
How she got past the beagles they use for sniffing out drugs I have no idea. It was the real McCoy, sewn in sheep's stomach and all.... looking like some Frankenstein creation. Tasted real good.
Nerves of steel she had, could have made a lot of money off her as a drug mule!
