Spearhead conditions

Going to Whistler because it's sooooo cheap right now. I was thinking with the bulletproof conditions you could haul butt on the Spearhead Traverse.

Anyone have any sense of whether the coverage will be enough right now in this midst of this super-boney winter?

I haven't actually been there myself, but I've been to several nearby locales and my guess is that it's doable. (</= $0.02)

Joedabaker and I skied Whistler this weekend and the coverage from the vantage point of the Peak 2 Peak gondola, looked OK.

Crevasses and slot coverage not so good. Skiable big lines have exposed bergschrund. Movement very fast. Ski crampons recommended. Snow depth about 150cms on most glaciers
