This thread is incomplete without a thumbs-up for Martin Rand at Sturtevants in Bellevue. He does a lot of touring himself so is also expert in that arena.

My "guy" at REI is Tim W. He is awesome and cheap, but only there once or so a week. He is flexible about appointments, just call.
