Crystal homepage says the following, "It has been snowing from mid-mountain up since 7am Wednesday and we're getting a lot of new snow up there. The freezing level is expected to drop to the base or lower by Thursday. Friday will be a great day to make up for lost time!"
Telemetry shows 32 degrees at 6870 feet all day long (that's the top of REX right?) and a temp at the base of 39 degrees.
Anyway, I have a hard time believing it's been snowing mid-mountain (base of REX) and higher all day. Anyone have better info? I'd hate to miss a great day on Friday if they really have been getting snow.
Reminds me of when I worked in Park City and if it wasn't new powder snow it was called 'Packed Powder'.... made awful funny noises for packed powder. Weeks through the grooming machines and temperatures silly for powder.

I'm inclined to believe the telemetry, and not the marketing dept.... I bet they are banking on significant snowfall before the weekend. Plus, once you drive there, you're going to get a ticket a ski a run or two even if it sucks, right?
