Mid-Winter Blues was created by Moscawulff
Just felt like voicing my heartache over the current state of winter, and to make a confession. First, I'd like everyone to know that Island Video on Greenwood Ave in Seattle is now blacklisted. I rent a movie about once a year, and did so the other night since I have a nasty head cold. I went in to the store, discussed the fact that I don't rent movies that often and asked, "What do you recommend from the last three years, any good comedies…something I don’t have to think hard about?” The guy questioned where I’ve been, and I told him I just don’t dig TV and movies. Maybe this is where I went wrong.

He suggested a film called Pineapple Express. Actually, this is where I went wrong. I thought about rejecting it on pure instinctual principle, especially since I already hold this stance with a certain pizza at a certain N. Fork Beer Shrine out of superstition. It looks like I got what I was asking for on two accounts. The movie was purely idiotic, and I not only did it prevent any thought processes to take place while watching, I feel dumber now for watching it and regretful of my wasted time. And now, now what is coming at us from the S. Pacific? Good God, I’m sorry everyone. I should’ve known…“Island Video,” “Pineapple Express” “Where’ve you been?”

Skiing! Until I toyed with karmic disaster! What a mess!

I just needed to get that off my chest. I suppose we should all go back to the drawing boards of our snow dancing minds and collectively figure out how to pull this winter back together. Otherwise I think it may be time to move to Girdwood. Hope everyone is fairing the insanity with deep breaths. Let’s hope the January thaw is brief and winter comes soon. Here’s to powder dreams!

The Pineapple always ends, my friend. The snow will come back.

And really, I'm happier for not having to worry as much about those nasty layers for the rest of the season. This ought to take care of them...

Haven't seen the movie, but you are missing out on one of the best pizzas on Earth. Next time you're in North Forks, grab the Pineapple Express by the crust and show it who's the boss!

More than once after a hard day touring on Heliotrope I've ordered an 18" with the intention of bringing the leftovers home for the family, only to find I had no leftovers...

Brad, could you please rent that disaster movie " the DAY After" ( it's called something like that) where a sudden worldwide storm plunges the US into the ice-age overnight with freezing temps and snowfall forming 200' drifts in NY!
Maybe by watching that tonight you could reverse the situation????

I just looked at the Xstal website and they say they are closed Thurs but opening on Friday and it's snowing up top. Not sure I believe that!

"The Day After Tomorrow"

I can't for the life of me understand why they call that utopian fantasy a "disaster movie" ???
