Hyak Avalanched Today!!

I was looking through my old Hyak photo's and found this one from 1971 particularly interesting. Check out under the old POMA (prior to the Keechelus chair). Does the hole in the mtn look a little familiar? Maybe this is some fill dirt that was pushed down the mtn?

Do you ski in to Kendall from Comm. side or Gold Creek side? I was hoping to cruise up the forest roads but didn't expect any access to GC. Thanks.

Gold Creek's accessible now. Exit 54's closed Westbound, but it was easy to get on 90 heading West on the way home. The road between Central and Hyak is closed.
