Is anyone familiar with this? we're passing by on the way to jasper/Banff and thought there was a groomed road that went towards the summit of Mt Revelstoke that might be fun to ski. I'd appreciate any info . Revelstoke does not seem to be ski town.

Methinks you are trolling! but I'll play along.
Revelstoke ski area has greatest vertical drop in NA and has some of the newest chairs and gondolas in NA.
Canuk ski bum carpenters are moving to Revy in droves and it is becoming a ski town.
Rogers'pass up the road is ski touring heaven.
If not trolling then check out Rogers's Pass, Revestone Mountain and Greg Hills website,

Not sure it's really groomed but there is a road over which you can ski. ParksCanada has an office in town with maps/info.

Revelstoke ski area is actually on Mount Mckinzie, Revelstoke mountain is a nearby area where there used to be a ski jump I believe. Just drove from there yesterday. Great place. Long drive.

Let me clarify.. we are xc xkiers. do a little backcountry but nothing steep. (wish I was a better skier, but ...no..) Every time we've passed thru Revelstoke we were inundated, run over by snowmobiles.. everywhere.
we would not go to a downhill area.. just looking for some xc touring terrain that's not too steep. We passed thru here a couple years ago and there was a groomed road (completely unused) that went uphill , but the weather was the pi**ed out so we decided to look next time thru. That's coming soon and we're wondering if it's worth a stop.
