Scarpas and Dukes need some help was created by Team Wally
After hanging in slack country with a few Tayers I pulled the trigger on a pair of Scarpa Tornado Pros and Marker Dukes which I mounted on Hippy Stinx (Seth Pistols with Tele top sheet) I am running into problems with how the heel with Vibram sole drops into the Marker. Very little room for error and many times the the heel will snap in but the boot isn't all the way down. What is weird is the bindings work great with my old Technica alpine boots AND the Scarpas are solid on my Seths with Marker alpine binders. Btw love the Scarpas, the vibram and walk feature make the trek from B lot much nicer not to mention lunch breaks. Oh yeah, they make the occasional jaunt to 3 way much more enjoyable. Anyone else with similar issues ?

Is the forward tension set correctly? I found that my Duke/Scarpa combination required a way tighter fit than I would normally expect to get the adjustment screw flush with the base plate.

That's a roger, to get a flush screw head there is hardly room to set the heel in. It appears the Scarpa is a bit thicker than the Technicas. 1.10 vs 1.00 I've given some thought to pulling the heel and sanding a bit off but I don't want to upset the toe/heel balance and wind up in the back seat. Guess I'll get used to it. That is all.
