heres the avalanche toll so far
8 snowmobiliers missing in Fernie
2 snowmobiliers Killed in Co
15 year old snowmobilier killed in Utah
1 local killed at Jackson Hole inbounds
1 local killed at Snowbird inbounds
1 local killed at Alta inbounds

and this is downright crazy

Holy shit. It's as bad as last year, or worse. That Jackson avy is unreal...

Damn!  That's scary for sure!  I believe the NWAC reports I read in every morning that say this is the sketchiest conditions in the last 10-20 years.  I'm worried that with all this new snow we'll get some strong bridging over the shallow weak layers that will give us a false sense of security later in the season.......................here's the link to the avy from JH:

Sketchy for sure. The JH avy was supposedly natural release after a different area was blown with a 2 lb charge. One patroller was hit with a table, another was trapped in the ski patrol hut. Crazyness.
