Out of Print?

Just moved to Oregon (Corvallis) from Seattle.  I'm trying to get my hands on a couple guidebooks to introduce me to some terrain around here.  The two that I see mentioned everywhere "Backcountry Ski OR" and "Oregon Descents" are both out of print.  I see them used on line but for outrageous prices.  What's a guy to do?  Any ideas on how to get copies of these without breaking the bank or are there other good BC Ski books I should be looking at in lieu of these??  Thanks for any help.

library! I checked out both (plus a handful of others) from the downtown portland library. Don't know what the libraries are like in corvallis, but it's worth a shot.

Check Amazon frequently. I got a good ski descent book that was out of print and listed at $100, then one day a library was selling a copy for $10.
